Don Smith Tesla Coil Frame Parts 4 inch Support
This is one of three different single parts

The above video introduces some 3D printed parts for sale here that help people build a Don Smith model that I introduced in the Resonance Induction Coupler Kit 2 The parts can be ordered here: This is for an 8" diameter secondary coil (which allows for high Q). While different size wire can be used, as we have done many, this model uses #8 wire size so that the middle of the wire from side to side is 8" when wound around the frame. The three different parts snap together to make a rigid frame that will hold any gauge wire. The two other parts are found here and here and wire here. Other sizes (the ring size will determine the diameter) may be produced later. Combining the three different parts allows you to make a long enough frame to make the coil Don recommended twenty years ago. We may later add other parts to mount the frame as well as an L1 coil. Also clips may be added to hold wires.

Example 8" Don Smith Model made from these parts

In order to make the 11.5" tall spool for this particular model shown above you would need to order a quantity of 4 of the rings, 8 of the long frame supports and 8 of these short frame supports. You can order whatever quantities of these three parts you need to build different sizes of 8" diameter spools.
